Kidney Stones and DietAlthough there is no evidence linking kidney stones and diet, maintaining a healthy diet and drinking plenty of fluid may help reduce a person's risk of developing them. People with chronic kidney stones may need to limit the amount of protein in their diet. Scientists conducting research on kidney stones and diet discovered that lowering calcium intake is not beneficial, and may even cause other problems, like osteoporosis.
